My son has a really special birthday coming up and I want to make it as memorable as I possibly can. My kid will be turning five and I’ve never seen a kid more excited in my life! He says that because he is getting older now and will soon be facing the responsibilities and rigors of kindergarten next year, he believes that he has earned the right to own a drumset just like his cousin. Ok! My girlfriend who has been like a second mom to him is a little leery but I think it’s pretty cool! Because he is only five, we have begun looking at three piece kids drumsets. I think my girlfriend will be more on board when she sees that a kids drumset is not as expensive as she might think. I have bookmarked some really great websites!
I think we should let the kid fulfill his fantasy because kids need to explore all kinds of interests when they are young. My nephew will get quite a kick out of this and will probably even give his little cousin a few pointers. I think when it’s all said and done my boy will have one ‘rockin’ birthday!
Unfortunately too many people view drummers as reckless maniacs who bang on their drums needlessly making noise with no real purpose. These critics believe that drummers do not possess any real musical ability. This bias is seen most with people who play in rock bands. While it may appear this way to the untrained eye, nothing could be further from the truth! The drummer is extremely important because he and/or she keeps the rhythm for the whole band and sets the tempo for the song, (no small job!)
The importance of the drummer is most evident in the great bands where the drummer is at the forefront. There are a number of classic bands such as Led Zeppelin and Nirvana, where the drummer is in the forefront. Showing your child videos of these drummers could be just as helpful as having them take drum lessons. Parents have a lot of really cool kids drumsets to choose from when shopping for their child!
My little girl is a bit of a ‘tomboy’ which I love! She has been my ‘mini-me’ for most of her life and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Of course I want her to have her own identity but there’s nothing like a ‘Daddy’s girl’. She loves to climb trees, ride her bike, and lives to accompany myself and my buddies on fishing trips. I am glad she likes the outdoors so much. She has a birthday coming up in just three short weeks and she is very excited that she is turning seven and getting to be such a big girl now! Several weeks ago we spent time at my buddy’s house and she loved watching his older son play the drums. To say that my daughter was fascinated is the understatement of the year!
I have decided to go ALL out this year and get my precious little girl a childrens drum set. I know that she will be thrilled beyond belief! It is amazing how many really fun kids drumsets are out there. I want my daughter to be exactly who she is and I’m glad to support her in any way I can, however it doesn’t hurt that we seem to have a lot in common!
Our son turned nine last month and told us that more than anything, he wanted to play the drums. I can’t complain except that the kids drumset we bought for our son is such a hit that he wants to play the thing morning noon and night! I am glad that he is so happy and I feel good that my wife and I did our research when we began searching for kids drumsets. I think we will have to have to do something to curtail the noise so that we can all get some good rest, (ok so I’m exaggerating a bit, but he does play a lot!)
My wife says that she will deal with the situation by insisting that our son stop fighting with his siblings in order to keep on banging those drums, (if that’s the case he’ll never get to play!!) His playing time must be done by 7:00 pm. she says and if momma ain’t happy nobody’s happy. Let’s see how we’ll cope with our older son who tells us he wants to play electric guitar,THAT will be interesting! Maybe we need to invest in our own soundproof studio!
My wife and I became proud parents seven years ago when we had our son. Two years later we had a beautiful baby girl. With kids so young Christmas is a HUGE deal and something we talk about for weeks on end before the big day finally arrives! Those were the days when you were SO excited that you couldn’t wait until Christmas morning! Our kids recently spent time with their 16 year old cousin Robert. Robert is a drummer in a band and our son is so taken by him. Ever since our most recent visit with Robert and his family, our son says that what he wants the very most for his Christmas is a drum set like Robert’s
I am glad that my son looks up to Robert so much and I am starting my search for kids drum sets, (a smaller and more affordable version of what Robert has). I think this will be a lot of fun and my wife is into it too as long as he keeps the noise to an acceptable level. It is nice to know that kids drumsets are reasonably priced and should last him several years at least. Kids grow so fast and we are always so busy. I try to make the most of their childhood years and watching my son play with a childrens drumset is yet another way of spending time with my son doing something he truly loves! Merry Christmas everyone!!
My son will be seven in just two weeks. This is very exciting to everyone in the family, myself included but is the most exciting to our little boy!! He is precocious as well as ambitious and some say he has as a future doctor, lawyer, or maybe even an Indian Chief!! Right now, I vote for a musician!! Our son like many kids his age wants to bang the drums. He thinks that this is very cool and so do I. I propose to my somewhat less enthusiastic wife that we start looking at childrens drumsets. I know that there are some very affordable and fun kids drumsets.
We however need to get a move on as his birthday will be here before we know it!! I have already bookmarked some good websites. A buddy of mine bought his son some kids drums and says that for the most part it has been a lot of fun for the whole family, wife included. I very much want our son to succeed in life but along the way I want him to also have boatloads of fun. A kids drumset is a great start!
My son has a really special birthday coming up in just two weeks. My son will soon be facing the ripe old age of six! He told his grandmother, (my mother who lives with us) and I that because he is now getting older and is facing the responsibilities and rigors of going to school all day long since he is in the first grade, he feels he should get a kids drum set for his birthday!! Ok! My mother is a bit apprehensive but I think it’s just great! Of course we won’t get him a full size drum set like his older brother has. We will instead look for three piece kids drum sets. I think my frugal mother will be thrilled when she sees that kids drumsets are not as expensive as she is thinking!
I think we should let the kid fulfill his fantasy as every child needs to have time to explore and figure out what really interests him. I believe that his older brother will get such a kick out of this and will probably even give his little brother a few pointers. I think when it’s all said and done our boys will enjoy some real bonding time ‘rockin’ out together!
I am an excited Dad who loves the fact that my kid will be seven in just a few weeks. This is quite a thrill to everyone in the family but is truly the most exciting to our young son. He is a bit precocious and very ambitious you might say. My wife sees a future doctor, lawyer, or businessman but I see a great musician!!. Let’s start with the musician, shall we. Our son Eddie like a lot of kids his age wants to bang the drums. He thinks that this is very cool and to tell the truth, so do I. I propose to my somewhat less enthusiastic wife that we start looking at drums for children . I know that there are some very affordable and fun kids drumsets out there!!
We however need to get a move on as his birthday will be here before we know it. I have already bookmarked some very good websites. A buddy of mine bought his son beginner drums and says that for the most part it has been a lot of fun for the whole family. I very much want my kid to succeed in life but along the way I want him to also have a blast!!! A kids drumset should help that process!
Music has been a part my family’s life for many years. As a teenager, (back in the dark ages) I played drums in a really hot band that I loved more than life, much to my parent’s chagrin. My parents were from the Big Band era, (music I also love) but my parents think that there is no other type of music. Now my young son seems to also want to follow the beat of the drum. His birthday is at the end of October and I have been keeping my eyes on specific kids drumsets that I think he would love!
If he grows up and wants to play in a rock band this is fine with me as long as he is happy, healthy and can make it on his own! My oldest daughter has played piano for years and while she isn’t playing piano for a career, it is a very important part of her life and she does still love to perform and just play for her own ‘therapy’. We will get some drum lessons for our son if we feel it necessary. Life without the sound of music would be pretty dull and I know my family would agree with that in a nanosecond!
I remember how exciting it was to be a kid and get your first drumset. Those were the days! The excitement of learning something new is so wonderful and you can never go back in time and be there again. However, you can provide the same opportunities for your children and live vicariously through them! Kids drumsets today have really advanced from the childrens drumsets of yesteryear! So you might say that I am just as excited if not more than my son is to receive a kids drumset for his birthday next month!
My wife watched me play drums for band that was pretty ‘hot’ at the time when we were in high school and just rolls her eyes at the idea of another drummer in the family but overall she is pretty excited too. Fortunately she has a pretty good sense of humor, (an important coping skill in our house!) So now I am counting down the days until October 15th!
