My husband has always loved country music, blue grass music and folk music. His enthusiasm and joy now seems to have rubbed off on our youngest daughter. My husband has played acoustic and electric guitar most of his life and our daughter seems to truly relish the time she gets to spend watching her father play. We know that for Christmas this year we must surprise our daughter with her very own acoustic guitar! As an uncle I must not “overstep my bounds” but my nephew and I are so close that I really feel like a big brother to him! If I speak with my brother I know he’ll back me if I buy my nephew a beginner guitar for his birthday in November. You might even say it’s a combined birthday/Christmas present. I want nothing more than the very best for my nephew and hope that he can be the person he was truly meant to be! I think playing guitar might help him be able to express himself in a way he never has before. We’ll see!

It always seems like the cost of living gets worse and worse. Each year we really struggle to make ends meet. We try to save but somehow something comes up and we somehow manage to cut into our emergency fund. With four kids it’s a struggle to make it in today’s times. It seems that every time we turn around there’s another birthday and before we know it it’s time for Christmas! Now that it’s almost September, we face the birthday of our youngest son.
