Buying That Perfect Gift!

As hard working parents we take pride in the birthday and Christmas gifts that we get our children.  This month our little boy has a very important birthday as he will turn five years old this year!  He is very excited.  As of late he seems to have taken a particular interest in the drums.  We think that this is just great and since there are many different makes of kids drum sets we will have fun making just the right selection for him.  Because he is so young I think we will look specifically at 3 piece childrens drum sets.  There is certainly more variety today in drums for children than there was when I was my son’s age.

Our kids seem to have taken interest in musical instruments.  Last year we got our eight year old daughter a kids electric guitar at her request.  To say that she loved this gift is the absolute understatement of the year!  We don’t always pick winners as far as gifts go but we sure do try!  Now that I am a parent and see the joy in my children’s eyes when they receive a gift that they really really wanted, I know that it is definitely better to give than to receive!

They’re Only Young Once!

Our kids are the light of our lives and we try to relish in whatever they do as long as it’s appropriate and/or legal.  We have enjoyed watching them enter certain phases of their lives from ballet to flute lessons to playing varsity football.  It hasn’t always been easy but we want to be a part of it all because they’re only young once.

Our young son has been letting us know that he really wants a kids drum set for his birthday in September.  This is not surprising to hear because he tries to play whatever is available to him, (i.e. banging his hands on chairs, the kitchen table, taking 2 pencils and tapping to the beat).  His birthday is a way’s off but we will start looking now at drums for children.  I have always been impressed with the deals that are available online.  I think that come September we will have a very happy boy!

Born to Bang!!!

It seems that most boys enjoy banging the drums and get an early start as they pick up objects in their homes and start banging on whatever is around from coffee tables to chairs to anything that is available.  So my wife and I now think it is time to get our young son the proper equipment to “bang on”.  I have been checking around and I know that there are some pretty cool drums for children available today.  Call it an early birthday present, call it whatever you want, but I know are very eager musical son will just love it!

Our son is for the most part enjoying school and I know that he will love being able to bring a kids drumset to class for show and tell and possibly be able to play it in music class.  I love seeing my kids happy and finding joy in the fruits of my labor!  Soon our house will be filled with the wonderful sound of some banging drums!

What will be on Santa’s sleigh this year?

drums for children lizaSo what will Santa have in his sleigh this year?  I know my daughter Liza can’t wait.  She has told me that Santa will bring her some drums this year and it will be no problem for Santa to fit it in his sleigh.  And Santa’s elves can make anything she says.  “Oh boy!”  I thought “Can Santa afford this, I might ask?”  Apparently the economy hasn’t affected Santa this year.

My husband doesn’t think getting drums for Liza is such a big deal.  Maybe he is right, since we will only be getting a kids drum set we can probably find a good one that is pretty affordable.   Our friends are musicians and I know they can probably get us a good deal.  I bet there are some pretty cute drums for children that Liza will really like.  I guess her drum set will have a special spot on Santa’s sleigh after all.
