If you have the desire to learn to play guitar don’t let anyone or anything stop you! It can be a wonderful experience not only for you but your child as well.  If finances are an issue there are options available to help you pursue this hobby more affordably including discount childrens guitars.  Where there’s a will there’s a way!  There are many different methods to learn to play guitar. One common method is the tablature method, which involves matching your finger positions to a visual aid like a photo, video or personal teacher. While this may be a typical and useful method, it is by far not the only method to learn to play guitar. There are as many methods as there are teachers, and finding a method that works for you and your child will open you up to not only your true potential but his or hers as well.

Maybe the best way for you to learn is by watching other people do something, or perhaps you’d like to have a private teacher. There are guitar teachers and jam sessions in many communities. By going online, you have the luxury of evaluating 1000’s of different types of guitar programs suitable for children and adults. Videos, DVD’s, subscription programs, books and books with CD’s are available all over the internet. Look for a teacher whose style you like, who you enjoy listening to or watching. Find a method that allows you to work at a pace that you feel comfortable for you and your child. These sites are invaluable particularly when you are on a limited budget.

My son will turn seven next week and he really wants an electric guitar for his birthday.  Our older son had played guitar when he was his brother’s age but eventually lost interest.  It is too bad that we gave this guitar to a friend who has a young son.  Now our younger son wants an electric guitar.  I guess we will have to look for some discount childrens guitars online.  I’m pretty sure we can find some quality and childrens electric guitars online that are also affordable.

Our young son seems to have a good sense of rhythm and I believe has more of a musical sense then his older brother.  So I do believe that a kids electric guitar is a good gift for him.   It’s always so interesting as a parent to see what makes your kid tick and how it often is different for each kid.

Always In Search Of A Discount!

As a single parent of five children I do the very best I can.  I work full time and do receive child support from the kid’s father but still money is tight and it is hard to make ends meet.  It seems like my kids constantly NEED something.  The operative word here is need.  I call it “want” but they call it “need”.  Somehow it seems like I have a birthday to buy for every month even though it’s really only five times a year.  My eight year old daughter has been “begging and begging” me to get her an electric guitar!  Ever since she fell in love with Hannah Montana and has watched some of her classmates get kids electric guitars, she is convinced that she must have one too!

I must admit that my daughter is starting to make an impression on me as recently I was speaking to a friend who told me to look online for discount childrens guitars.  She said that she bought her son a kids electric guitar for under $100.00.  I must admit $100.00 is a lot less money than I thought I would spend on a childrens guitar!  As a single parent of a large family, the word “discount” is always music to my ears!

I have five children who all have very different interests.  My two older sons play soccer, my middle daughter is a very good pianist and my youngest son loves riding his bike and wreaking havoc on our home any chance he gets.  My youngest daughter and the “baby of the family” says that she wants to learn guitar just like her father.  Her father, my husband has played acoustic and electric guitar with friends throughout the years at churches, wedding receptions, and local watering holes in our area.   My daughter is quite aware that she has a birthday in April and has decided that she wants an acoustic guitar!  I am game as long as she realizes that she needs to have balance in her life and be involved in other activities

My husband has many contacts and does know an awful lot about guitars.   He thinks that a childrens acoustic guitar would be perfect for our daughter and says that he know where to find discount childrens guitars that are quality products.   My husband is quite excited to give our daughter some proper instruction but realizes that she may need further lessons with someone who teaches on a more regular basis.

discount childrens guitarsWhat do you do with a very limited budget and a kid who swears that the thing he wants most for Christmas is an acoustic guitar!  At first I said, “no way, No Way, NO WAY!”  But then I really began to explore and much to my utter surprise there are some very affordable acoustic guitars for kids online!  I just want to say to parents that there are some great websites for discount childrens guitars out there!

Santa will be good this year and now I just hope that I can find some discount “puppies for my daughter Ellie!  Maybe one of my kids will get me a “discount” new house!

electric guitar for kidsI am a single mother working hard to raise my two sons, (ages 11 and 14).  My younger son, Christopher has Attention Deficit Disorder.  Finding the time as well as the patience to work with him and parent him can be VERY trying,  especially when we all lead such busy lives.  It has been an ongoing challenge for years to find interests and hobbies that will not only occupy his time but also hold his attention.

After many attempts at hobbies such as: baseball, karate, and soccer, I FINALLY found the activity that not only holds my son’s attention but also provides skill and discipline while nurturing his own sense of creativity.  I discovered his love of electric guitars.  And not just any guitar but an electric guitar for kids!    He LOVES it and now feels he has more in common with his rock star idols like the Jonas Brothers!    I really believe in the importance of helping children harness their passion and feel that music is a wonderful outlet for our youngsters.  As a single parent on a budget, I was able to find discount childrens guitars that are high quality and provide a good vehicle for learning to play music.
