In the 1930s and 1940’s, during the early days of the electric guitar, audio feedback was thought to be a detrimental sound that needed to be eliminated in order to purify music. My son has a special birthday coming up, he will be ten. We believe as does he that it is a big deal! To commemorate this most special landmark, he would like to acquire an electric guitar! Ok! Despite the fact that we just got through Christmas, my husband and I believe that we will be able to get a beginner kids guitar for him! My friends have assured me that good quality discount childrens guitars are available! After searching the internet last night, I believe that I have found some options that our budding musician will love and won’t break the budget!
My son sometimes feels that his birthday is forgotten as it falls so close to Christmas and Mom and Dad don’t have the finances that they might if his birthday fell later on in the year. I believe that we do the best we can to not ‘short’ him and this year will be no exception. Yes I think we will have a very happy ten year old very soon!
I am a total musical enthusiast. I have played acoustic guitar, sung in many choirs and even formed a trio at one point with close girlfriends as we plotted becoming Country Western singers. My middle son is absolutely nuts about the drums and now has his own junior kids drumset that he plays with reckless abandon. Now our baby girl has shown a real interest in learning to play guitar. I am thrilled and have already begun to research on discount childrens guitars. I am THRILLED that my kids have discovered the joy of music!
Now as I witness their enthusiasm I start to feel that passion once again and find myself daydreaming about performing again! I think it would be great if someday my kids would play together in a band. Our adorable little six year old has let us know that what he wants most for Christmas is a kids guitar like his very best friend Jonathan. My husband who wants to honor his children’s wishes hopes he can honor this one. I however am always the bargain hunter. It seems that my son has a good idea of the type of guitar he wants so now it’s just a matter of trying to find what he is looking for at a decent price. It always makes me feel good to see what bargains I can find. I think I could make a living doing this for other people and just have a ball. With a large family birthdays come up sooner than you think. We just celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday. We had a lot of fun and we got her a new laptop for college as she is a freshman this year. It has been as adjustment to have her away at college, (not to mention tight on the purse strings). Our younger daughter will turn seven next month and says that more than anything in this whole wide world, she simply MUST have a kids electric guitar!! My very frugal husband said “no way” a guitar is simply out of the question. I however feel that I can refute some of his complaints, (i.e. cost). My husband is still not totally onboard but I think he will come around. If a kids guitar will make her happy than I think we should support her and I know in the long run my husband will agree. Where there’s a will there’s a way!!
