When I began playing the guitar many years ago I basically taught myself. I didn’t have a lot of money and my parents basically scrounged to find the money to get the guitar. My older cousin Gary who played bass guitar in a local band gave me lessons when he had time. Now as a parent there are so many good quality and amazingly cheap amateur guitars online that weren’t available to me when I was a kid. My daughter Sally says she wants to play the acoustic guitar. I have begun looking not only for childrens acoustic guitars but also acoustic guitar lessons.
Christmas is just around the corner and I know this will be the perfect gift for Sally. I am slightly more enthusiastic about getting a childrens acoustic guitar than my wife because I know firsthand how much joy it has brought me. Who knows maybe one day she and I will be able to perform together!
What will Santa have on his sleigh this year? If my daughter Karen has any say whatsoever there will be a childrens acoustic guitar. I am happy to try and honor this request for her but my husband and I both know that the budget is tight ever since he lost his job five months ago. He takes odd jobs here and there but we do struggle somewhat.
I have been looking online to price childrens acoustic guitars and have to say that I thought they would cost a lot more than they do. So perhaps we can afford this for Karen as well as some good learn to play guitar DVD’s. I think Karen will be delighted with what Santa will bring her down the chimney this year!
Our daughter Kendra has been playing acoustic guitar for several years. We admire her commitment to this hobby and now see how serious she is about learning to play her childrens acoustic guitar as skillfully as she can. We will be starting acoustic guitar lessons for Kendra in the near future and she is so happy about this and glad that we see her budding talent. Kendra loves life and gives her all to anything she tries and we are glad to support her in any way that we can.
We have great kids and we really believe that supporting their interests shows them that they are important and that we believe in them! I am a great believer in getting kids started in hobbies like playing kids instruments such as kids guitars because kids develop many skills that are important and necessary later in life.
