I want my children to be involved in the hobbies that feel like the best fit for them. I must admit however that I am very thrilled when they have chosen some type of musical pursuit. Music has been the icing on the cake for both my wife and I. I grew up playing classical music on the violin and still play with the orchestra in my town and will sometimes even still perform at weddings and special events. My wife has played the harp and has performed in more types of venues that I can possibly remember. She doesn’t play much anymore but does teach part-time where she can live vicariously through her students! Our eldest daughter also plays classical violin and piano. My middle son has played the drums as well as the trombone in concert band. My youngest son seems to want to break tradition and be somewhat of a rebel in our family (but only in regards to classical music) and play the electric guitar!
My wife doesn’t seem to know want to make of this but I think we should honor his wish. He is only five years old and I think this could be a lot of fun! I have already begun looking at electric guitars for children. I am also going to purchase DVD’s and books for beginner guitar lessons. I think this will be fun and since Christmas is only 2 week away we better get a move on. I am confident however that on Christmas morning my son will have a cool guitar to jam on!
Ah the rush of the season, as much as we complain, we really wouldn’t have it any other way! Every year we say that we are going to do things more simply but it just never really happens! My wife and I went ALL OUT! We got MP3 players, laptops, and cool clothing items that our kids will love! One of the most interesting gifts we got was for our six year old son. He has been bugging us for guitar lessons and so after a long search for childrens acoustic guitars, we finally just found a really good quality beginner childrens guitar. We are more than excited to give this super cool guitar to our son who has been jamming on anything he can find at home from tennis racquets to magazines to pots and pans to whatever!
I get to play Santa Claus each year as the kids leave cookies and milk for me. All the effort is worth it as the kids go CRAZY Christmas morning. I know that our son will start jammin right away! My wife says that she has also ordered some beginner guitar lessons on DVD that should arrive tomorrow morning! I love it that my kids help keep my inner child alive and kickin!

I want my children to be involved in the hobbies that feel like the best fit for them. I must admit however that I am very thrilled when they have chosen some type of musical pursuit. Music has been the icing on the cake for all of my life. I grew up playing classical music on the violin and sang in choir my whole life. My wife has played the harp and has performed in more types of venues that I can possibly remember. Our eldest daughter also plays classical violin and piano. My middle son has played the drums as well as the trombone. My youngest son seems to want to break tradition, (but only in regards to classical music) and play the electric guitar!

I am confident however that come Christmas morning my son will have a cool guitar to jam on!
My son has been dealing with some depression and has been isolating from his peers which has his mother and I concerned. We finally found a very competent therapist who our son seems to like and trust. Last week we had a family session and the therapist informed us of how interested in music our son is. I must admit that we probably always knew this on some level. The therapist feels that if our son could pursue some type of musical hobby it could really help with the depression. After speaking with our son further we discovered that he would love to learn how to play guitar!
My wife and I both are very much in support of him pursuing this interest. Tomorrow I will begin searching for beginner childrens guitars. I think this will be a lot of fun for the whole family. We will let our son choose which beginner childrens guitar he would like. We also hope to get some beginner guitar lessons for him so he can really learn proper technique. I will do whatever it takes to help my son feel the inner joy we all know he possesses.
I love the guitar! I have been playing most of my life so it is no wonder that my kids have wanted to follow in my footsteps. My middle son Ted wants an electric guitar in the worst way for Christmas. Fortunately I have a lot of knowledge in this area and already have some good leads on beginner childrens guitars. I couldn’t be more pleased with the idea that my son and I could someday do some gigs together.
It is great to know that there are such good quality kids electric guitars out there. I am glad to be Ted’s teacher but I think it might also be a good idea to get some instructional books and DVD’s for beginner guitar lessons. Wow, this Christmas we will ROCK !
My youngest daughter Katie is asking for guitar lessons. She has decided that it is her mission in life and she will play the guitar in a band or do a solo act. Katie is eight years old and so I want to look for beginner guitar lessons for her. My second task is to get her a beginner kids guitar! I have been looking around for some good deals and will probably be able to find her one by Christmas. It is my goal in life to make my kids happy because the more well adjusted they are now the more likely they will be to grow up to become productive adults.
I am a strong believer that learning to play an instrument can teach discipline but also help your child express his or her creativity in a healthy way! My older son Daniel has spent many years learning how to play the trumpet and I am so glad that kids instruments are available so that children can experience the joy of music at a young age! Soon my house will be filled with the sound of music! I can hardly wait!
All I want for Christmas is a new guitar! I don’t know how to make this message any more clear to my parents who seem to always get me something I don’t want or need! Last year they bought me sweaters for school, some books and socks, SOCKS! That was pretty much it! I guess I have to make it EXTREMELY OBVIOUS what I really want for Christmas! But my far too practical parents will probably say what they always seem to say “we can’t afford it!” So I’m doing my homework Mom and Dad.
If you can’t find things cheap on the internet, you haven’t been looking very hard! I mean come on, there are so many really cool cheap kids guitars online. This year I will just sit my parents down and let them know that if they want to make me happy, a kids electric guitar is what I really want! Parents just don’t have a clue! Now I need to find a way to get cheap beginner guitar lessons! However knowing my parents, I better not push my luck!
Selecting the “right” guitar can seem like a difficult task but my husband Ted and I were actually able to look at it as a “fun” project to do together. Our son Andy is quite the musician and we believe that playing the guitar will be a passion he will follow for many years to come. His musical loves span from country, folk, classic rock even classical music! We aren’t yet sure where Andy will yet channel his musical energy.
After doing our research on the best beginner childrens guitar we found the “perfect” beginner guitar that we actually had custom made! Andy is able to explore various musical tastes with a competent teacher and some excellent DVD and books for beginner guitar lessons. I feel that Andy’s passion for music has allowed him to get excited about his life in many ways and has put him in contact with peers who also share this passion! Andy is an excellent student with a bright future ahead of him. Finding what makes your child “tick” can be the key to a happy, successful, and fun filled life!
My name is Oscar and I am a full time college student. I am also an aspiring musician. I have been taking some music and song writing classes. Several years ago I was looking online and saw some really fine looking beginner acoustic guitars. I ended up purchasing one and also bought some books on beginner guitar lessons. Those books have been so helpful since paying an instructor has been cost prohibitive. Now I’m looking for a guitar case as I want to protect the guitar I have now until I can afford a new one.
I am SO delighted by what I have been able to find online. I discovered a website that seems to be devoted strictly to young aspiring musicians. I just bought a ¾ guitar case on a college student’s budget! It is great to see how affordable things can be online! I LOVE music and playing the guitar is my therapy, (especially during finals week).
