My son Andy was meant to play the drums and as parents we are very happy about this, (as long as he keeps the volume to an acceptable level). We want him to learn some good skills and so we are going to look into some good and proper instruction for Andy. Our friends know of a really good instructor who could teach Andy beginner drum lessons. I know Andy will be thrilled but we won’t continue the lessons if he doesn’t practice what is being taught.
We have been pleased with the childrens drum set that we bought for Andy several years ago. I just want him to focus and learn how to play the drums using proper technique. Now if we can get Andy to do his homework with the same amount of enthusiasm
Our home has always been filled with the sound of music! We love it all from classical, to country, to classic rock and even some rap music. My husband isn’t always so sure about the rap music but we want to honor the musical loves of all our family members! We recently bought Oliver our 10 year old a childrens drum set and are so glad we did! He loves it and we have are even able to use his drums as “leverage” to complete his homework and chores before he is allowed to have a jam session! However we have to carefully check his homework and chores as he wants to rush through them to get to his drum set!
To make the noise a “little” more bearable in our home, we are soon going to have Oliver take some beginner drum lessons. We have purchased some books and DVD’s for the beginner drummer but want to follow this up with a qualified instructor. If we start to see some improvement we may even put together our own little family band and/or musical group, (and no the family Von Trapp we are not!) Now what type of music will we perform?
