As a practical mom I want my kids to pick hobbies and interests that will serve them well later in life. I love that they have chosen musical hobbies like playing flute and trombone. I only feel concerned when they talk about making music a career which seems like quite a long shot to me. Now my youngest daughter says that she WILL be the next Hannah Montana no matter what. We have decided to honor her request for an electric guitar and after an exhaustive search for beginner childrens guitars we finally found a really cute kids guitar that she will be more thrilled than ever to get on Christmas day!
I am happy for my daughter but am hoping and praying that this wish to be a rock star is only a passing phase. I know that I need to be supportive of my children and I guess that if they are TRULY successful and happy in life, then I will support them. I know somebody is going to be very happy Christmas morning!
Last year my 7 year old son came home from school after attending music class saying he HAD to get some drums because he wants to grow up and be a rock star! I thought this was quite humorous and went right along with it. My wife and I purchased a childrens drumset and we have never looked back. Our son loves to “bang on the drums all day!” This has sometimes not gone over to well with my wife who requires an understandable amount of peace and quiet!
My darling daughter just 6 years old says she wants an electric guitar for Christmas. I said to my wife, “Here we go again!” However since the drums have gone over so well with our son, why not get a childrens electric guitar? Who knows maybe our children will form their own little band. I am doing a search for beginner childrens guitars right now and know that I have to act quickly as Christmas is next week! I think this is a lot of fun. Maybe we’ll have to build a sound proof studio so my wife can definitely keep her sanity!
My “little angel” now age 17 has been the light of my life for many years now. We have watched her go through many transitions which have included various boyfriends, alternative hobbies and activities ranging from tennis to cheerleading, and different hairstyles, (I must admit that I was NOT a fan of the “teased” hair look). One interest that has never wavered in my daughter’s life is her LOVE of the guitar!
We knew when she was a baby that she loved music and so we decided to take a chance and search for beginner childrens guitars. She started playing on a beginner acoustic guitar and now has quite a range of acoustic guitars as well as the mandolin. We have NEVER ONCE regretted the decision to buy her a beginner childrens guitar! Our bright and musically gifted daughter now plays guitar in a band along with several of her girlfriends and they are beginning to take their act on the road! They have recorded several CD’s and have become local heroes in our community! My daughter does plan to go to college but playing guitar will always be her first love!
I am a total musical enthusiast. I have played guitar, banjo and the drums for many years. My middle son has picked up on my love of drums and now has his own junior kids drumset that he plays with reckless abandon. Now our youngest daughter has shown a real interest in learning to play guitar. I am thrilled and have already begun research on beginner childrens guitars. I am THRILLED that my kids have discovered the joy of music!
As a teen I played in a band and now I still perform every once and a while. I think it would be great if someday my kids would play together in a band. With Christmas just around the corner, I think I can find a kids guitar that will put the biggest smile on my daughter’s face Christmas morning! We promise to keep the noise level at an acceptable level for our neighbors!
My son has been dealing with some depression and has been isolating from his peers which has his mother and I concerned. We finally found a very competent therapist who our son seems to like and trust. Last week we had a family session and the therapist informed us of how interested in music our son is. I must admit that we probably always knew this on some level. The therapist feels that if our son could pursue some type of musical hobby it could really help with the depression. After speaking with our son further we discovered that he would love to learn how to play guitar!
My wife and I both are very much in support of him pursuing this interest. Tomorrow I will begin searching for beginner childrens guitars. I think this will be a lot of fun for the whole family. We will let our son choose which beginner childrens guitar he would like. We also hope to get some beginner guitar lessons for him so he can really learn proper technique. I will do whatever it takes to help my son feel the inner joy we all know he possesses.

I am very excited that the holidays are approaching. My husband and I often perform during the holiday season. He plays organ and acoustic guitar, while I play the flute. We are very excited to have our ten year old son join onstage this year. Last year we bought him an amateur guitar after an exhaustive search for beginner childrens guitars. He has been a voracious learner and is incredibly excited to join his mom and dad on stage this year. He has a wonderful teacher and has gone through every guitar instructional book we have given him!
As parents we couldn’t be more proud! We love music and have been so grateful to be able to bond with our son through our mutual joy! The sound of music is the best Christmas gift imaginable for our family! To you and yours, Merry Christmas!
Our son Christopher has just informed us that next semester he will be taking guitar lessons as an elective. He seems SO excited about this and says that he would like us to look at some beginner electric guitars with him for a Christmas gift. After speaking with Christopher’s teacher, she informed us that what we need to look for are beginner childrens guitars. She told us where we can find some that are of a good quality and are reasonably priced. She also said that the kids would be learning on beginner acoustic guitars. The teacher also mentioned some good learn to play guitar instructional DVD’s that would be good for Christopher.
As parents we have always encouraged our children to pursue their interests and have told them that as long as they do their very best we will do whatever necessary to support their hobbies and interests. Christopher says that he has wanted to learn how to play guitar for awhile now and maintains that he will keep up with his studies and continue to play on his baseball team. We shall see. We’ll keep you posted!
My niece Gabby has spent many weekends with me for many years! My brother is a single parent and often works long shifts on weekends. My boyfriend Stan and I are happy to take Gabby in. She is such a “happy go lucky” and giving child and we practically consider her one of our own. Stan has played acoustic guitar in a trio with 2 of his very best friends. He plays local gigs and Gabby and I are often in the audience cheering him on! As Christmas is approaching, Stan and I are SO sure what we need to get Gabby this year, a childrens acoustic guitar!
My brother will be delighted because he is such a good father and only wants the best for his “little girl”. Stan already knows where to find good beginner childrens guitars! I would not be surprised if Gabby joins Stan and his buddies on stage! I am very sure that a kids acoustic guitar will give Gabby and our family more joy than ever imagined!
I LOVE to rock! My little brother Nicholas also LOVES to rock! He follows me everywhere and gets most excited when he watches me “rock out” on my electric guitar! I think I now have my parents convinced at they “have to have to have to!” get him a kids electric guitar! I have even pointed out to my parents how affordable childrens electric guitars are! I am happy to report that I think I have convinced my parents that I am right!
I let my parents know that starting at his age on a beginner childrens guitar will only help him later on. They are concerned that Nicholas also take time for other interests but I informed them that playing guitar has not distracted me from other interests. I can hardly wait for Christmas morning! Nicholas will be SO psyched!
Our son Robby has been playing his kids electric guitar for about a year now and he couldn’t be happier. A year ago he expressed an interest in learning to play beginner guitar and we decided to look into it further and were delighted at what we found. We found some really good websites that were selling quality and affordable beginner childrens guitars. We purchased one that seemed to be a perfect fit for Robby and we realized very soon just how good this purchase was.
Playing the childrens electric guitar has provided so many unexpected benefits from learning a skill and a discipline to showing much more interest and concentration in other very important areas of Robby’s life. I think getting your children involved in a hobby at a young age is a very good idea and I am so glad that we did this for Robby. Whether you buy your child a kids instrument or sign him or her up for horseback riding lessons, the unexpected benefits can be amazing!
