Kid Guitars

I am a hard working man who takes pride in his full time job as a financial planner.  But at night, that is where the creativity comes out!  I play lead guitar in a band that has become quite popular at local watering holes in our area.  It is my passion and IF ONLY I could make it into a full time career!  But as a family man, a traveling band just doesn’t work much to my chagrin.  But I meet my “inner rock star God” needs in my local town.

My older teenage son, Jason seems to be following in my “local rock star” shoes much to my WIFE’S chagrin!   During elementary school Jason played the drums in school concerts.  He really seemed to love this but now he seems to want to “rock out” on the drums like his idols.  After convincing my wife that letting Jason explore this passion further didn’t mean that he would end up as a starving artist and uneducated because he refused to attend college, we decided to start looking at beginner drum sets.  What a thrill for us to see how TRULY  affordable they are!   The financial planner in me was thrilled!

Jason is SO happy that he can “jam” on his amateur drums and hopes to eventually join his Dad on stage.  My wife is happy because Jason’s grades have improved as we don’t allow him to practice until his homework is completed.  A true WIN WIN for everyone!
