Kid Guitars

As you are probably well aware Mother’s Day is this Sunday.  I look forward to that day not because I expect to be waited on hand and foot, (although that would be nice!)  but because I can’t wait to see what my kids have planned for me.  Every year it’s something different.   Last year they gave me an actual “ticket” to a day filled with whatever I wanted which included tea served in the backyard, a lovely pedicure and manicure given to me by my eleven year old daughter and dinner served with one of my dishes, lasagna!

Recently our home has been filled with the sound of music!  Last month our precocious youngest son turned eight and we bought him a childrens electric guitar.  I have never seen a happier kid in my life!  My son has been hinting that I will be serenaded by his ambitious guitar playing!  I will act surprised and will be delighted to hear what he has selected for me!  I don’t think my husband and I thought we would get this much enthusiasm when we first began to look at childrens electric guitars!  We are not complaining mind you.  The innocence of childhood only lasts so long, so you might as well enjoy it for as long as you possibly can!
