Our son will be turning eight in two weeks. With all the craziness in our lives right now we haven’t even begun to prepare for his birthday. I always take the practical approach when it comes to gift buying. I tend to think of what he “needs” more than what he “wants’. I want to buy him clothes because he grows out of them quicker than you can blink an eye or get him something he needs for school. My husband tends to be more of the “fun” Dad the “Disneyland Dad” if you will. He is not the planner that I am and will come up with ideas at the last minute.
Yesterday he told me that he could totally see our son as a “little rocker”and thinks that we should get him a childrens electric guitar! I’m not totally sold on this idea but my husband is convinced! He has looked online and believes that we can find plenty of suitable childrens electric guitars on time. My husband says that we are a good match because we balance each other out meeting the needs of our kids from different angles. I have to admit that he does have a point. I guess I’m game.
