Playing music has been proven to have amazing educational benefits in children. One of the most popular instruments for beginning musicians is the guitar. However, purchasing all the necessary equipment, like an amp, case and cables, can be an expensive venture.
For beginner guitar players, there are some easy ways to save money while you learn the ropes. Look for discounted models in online stores; avoid buying secondhand, as you are never sure of the quality. Also, if you are just starting, just purchase the guitar at first and then go for the accessories after you have played for awhile and know that it is right for you.
My daughter Nicole is SO excited for Halloween this year. She is even more psyched to dress up like her idol, Hannah Montana! She’s got the costume ready and Halloween can’t get here fast enough! There’s one thing missing however, a Hannah Montana guitar! Ok, I guess I may splurge a little early this year for her birthday! Nicole’s birthday is October 26th! I am doing some price checking to see if I can get her the best deal!
It is amazing how many quality and affordable beginner electric guitars are available for purchase! I found a great deal on a Hannah Montana guitar and will receive it soon from what looks like a great online business for kids instruments! My daughter may not be Miley Cyrus but if I may brag, she’s got a great voice! Knowing Nicole she might actually carry her guitar on trick or treat night and do a little diddy. That’s my girl!
I am thirteen years old and REALLY want an electric guitar for Christmas! My friend wants to start a band and wants to know if I would like to play lead guitar. I said “Wow, Cool!” How am I going to talk my parents into buying me a guitar for Christmas when all they do is complain that we don’t have money since my father lost his job?” I know we have money problems but how am I supposed to have any fun? Let’s face it if I want to even think about getting a guitar for Christmas, I will have to find one, DIRT CHEAP!
After talking to my friends, they told me to check out a couple of websites. Now my frugal parents might not agree, but I found some VERY sweet and cheap kids guitars online! I won’t even bother pointing them in the direction of some of the bigger “rockin” cool guitars I found online. I guess I will have to “inadvertently” leave this information out so that I will hopefully get what I want on Christmas day without ‘straining” the family budget!
Tommy loves the drums! Anyone who is anyone knows that TOMMY LOVES THE DRUMS! At the age of five we purchased a toy drum for Tommy that got quite A LOT of use. Now that Tommy is ten going on eleven, he is “too cool” for the toy drum. My husband Brad thinks that we need to purchase a more “age appropriate” drum or childrens drum set. But my question is “how are we going to deal with the inevitable noise that just may drive me bonkers?”
My creative and industrious husband says he can turn part of the basement into a sound proof studio. So now I REALLY have no excuse. You will be delighted to know however that despite my insistence that we can’t afford a drum set, Brad has again proved me wrong! He was able to find some “very affordable” beginner drums on line. Looks like Tommy will soon be “banging on the drums all day!”
I have been a concerned mother for many years. My middle daughter Sally has suffered from depression for many years. After an exhaustive search, we did find a very competent psychotherapist for Sally. With counseling and medication Sally seemed to make good progress. However we reached a stalemate several years ago. It became clear to the therapist and our family, that the missing ingredient for Sally was a hobby. Keeping Sally interested in a hobby proved more difficult than we thought. We knew Sally LOVED music and finally we became even more convinced that taking up an instrument could provide her with much needed joy.
We purchased a beginner acoustic guitar so Sally could learn to play like many of her folk music idols. In addition we bought her instructional books and DVD’s to enhance her learning process along with a qualified instructor. It is so amazing to again see the “sparkle’ in Sally’s eyes. This all has been so affordable and well worth the money. I recommend it to anyone.
