brian-teen-gitarLast Christmas my wife and I were looking for the perfect gift for Brian, our 16 year old nephew who we have raised since the age of 6.  Prominent on his Christmas list was an electric guitar.  I thought “no way!  He’s too young and electric guitars are far too expensive for our budget!”  But after a lengthy search on the internet we found several websites that featured children’s guitars in a price range that we could afford!  We ordered an electric kids guitar and it was shipped out to us on the same day!

What a joy it was Christmas morning to see Brian’s face light up when he opened up the package to see that he now owns a “very cool” electric kids guitar!  Our house has been filled with the sound of music ever since.   Even though we sometimes have to restrict Brian’s use of his guitar to daytime hours only, our neighbors have even enjoyed a serenade or two by Brian.

My husband, Bob and I recently adopted a seven year old Korean girl named Maria.  We have already raised three boys and were beginning to feel the “empty nest syndrome”.  Our youngest son, Ben (age 17) still lives at home but will go off to college next year.   Bob and I were struggling to get Maria involved in activities from  ballet to swimming.   Ben plays guitar in a local band and it looked like his love of guitars has worn off on Maria!   Finally Bob and I decided to begin searching for discount kids guitars and found the perfect panda shaped kids guitar.  Now our house is filled with music!

Even and “old fogey” like me can appreciate the rock ballads, jam sessions, and true joy exhibited by my two children who now perform little duets together!  Never in a million years did I dream that Maria and her kids guitar could bring so much happiness to all  of our family!
